I am the first person to admit that understanding people is something I am so totally NOT good at but seriously public displays of affections and every Facebook status and real life sentence that leaves your mouth focusing exclusively around ‘hubby’ and how much he loves you and the extent he goes to, to show his love is seriously not something I am very interested in. I get it that your lifelong dream of getting married has borne fruit and trust me I am very happy for you BUT I will shriek with joy and dance and hug you the first time, I may even listen to it the second but day in day out the novelty wears off faster then the coating on artificial jewelry! And no, this in no way implies that I am jealous of your prince charming or your new found happiness. It just means that I am not a huge fan of the person you have turned out into for you no longer seem an individual but just an extension of him and while that may suit you both to a T and I hope it does, its jarring to others.

What is funny and bemusing at the same time is when I see two friends, very good friends publicly make snide comments about how each’s hubby is better then the other. When A puts up a status praising her man for something B would feel duty bound to point out how that was just his duty and what her prince has done is what is special. Like SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!
