It was baffling to be told consistently by a subordinate how the whole state needs to reschedule its agenda so that he could go on leave to attend a relative’s wedding. His impunity in consistently reiterating to every logic with ‘main ne to jana hai’ (I have to go) was irritating and in a way admirable considering how adamantly he stuck to his point…..and got away with it!

Lesson of the day: forget professionalism, forget rules, forget common sense, forget everything except how to throw a perfect temper tantrum and master impunity to ask for the absurdist without a blush and you shall get it! And then they have the nerve to tell me logic exists!
