People never cease to amaze and bemuse. Take today for instance when I went to volunteer for a sick child. They asked us to fill out forms and one of the information required needed contact persons. I had already filled the form when X popped up and asked if my contacts were always available on the phone. I said yes somewhat hesitatingly ( I mean no one is available 24/7 are they?) hearing the slight hesitation in my voice X actually went and before I knew it had me filling out another form listing X as the referee. Made no sense till I understood that charity and philanthropy including good deeds is all about ensuring the other side knows who they owe, after all you may need a favor anyday.
